No Instagram professional account found

Why this happens

Instagram only allows apps to publish to professional accounts (Creator or Business). Personal accounts can't be connected to any scheduling tool.

This error also shows up when the account is already professional but wasn't shared with PostGP. That happens if you continued with Facebook and didn't tick the Instagram account on Meta's "choose accounts" screen, or Meta skipped that screen and reused an older choice.

If you sign in through Facebook, the Instagram account also has to be linked to a Facebook Page you manage.

How to fix it

1. Switch the account to professional: in the Instagram app open your profile, tap the ☰ menu, then Settings and privacy → Account type and tools → Switch to professional account. Choose Creator or Business. It's free, and you keep your followers and posts.
2. Click Connect Instagram again. On Meta's screen choose Continue with Instagram and sign in to the account you want to post from. This route doesn't need a Facebook Page.
3. If you continue with Facebook instead, tick your Instagram account (and its Facebook Page) when Meta asks which accounts PostGP can access. If Meta skips that screen, click Edit previous settings to change the selection.
4. Signing in with Facebook also needs the Instagram account linked to a Page you're an admin of: on Facebook open the Page → Settings → Linked accounts → Instagram → Connect account.
5. Reset what Meta remembers: on Facebook open Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations, remove PostGP, then connect again so Meta shows every permission and account choice from the start.
